Christ Church offers a nursery facility for infants to age three during our Sunday worship services and Adult Education. Our staff is CPR and first-aid certified, as well as background checked and screened by our church leadership. A typical Sunday morning in the nursery includes playtime, stories in the reading corner, snack, and time to do crafts.
For young children, we offer offers a Montessori-based curriculum called Godly Play during both of our worship services. Godly Play guides us through the liturgical year and introduces kids to the major Old and New Testament stories. After the morning’s story, the children are invited to work with the story sets themselves or create reflective artwork as they continue engaging with God. Children return to their families after the sermon, in time to share communion with the congregation.
Christ Church offers Sunday school for Pre-K to 5th grade kids from 10:15-11:00 a.m. each Sunday, and we use curriculum from The Gospel Project. During Sunday school children discover the broad narrative of Scripture, engaging the Word with heart and mind. Scripture reading, discussion, hands-on activities, art projects, and prayer time are all part of the morning.
Vacation Bible School 2017
We had a ball this year at “Rome: Paul and the Underground Church”! We were immersed in God’s Word through the story of Paul and enjoyed fun & games outside, craft-making, Rome-themed snacks, singing & dancing together, and small-group discussion times. Each year, VBS is open for kids ages 4-12 to participate, with our nursery open for kids ages 1-3, and is usually held the first full week of June. We hope to see you in 2018 for “Babylon: Daniel’s Courage in Captivity”!
