Community Partnerships

Christ Church Anglican recognizes that God’s love encompasses all humanity. We know that He particularly calls His followers to show love to the vulnerable, the poor, and the oppressed in tangible ways. For these reasons Christ Church works to demonstrate the love of Christ and expand His kingdom. We feel called as a parish to continue to do the work that He has given us to do by helping to provide for the physical needs of the hurting in Phoenix and throughout the world. Here are some of our activities planned for 2024:

Mother’s Day We will conduct a diaper and formula drive for the women in recovery and their children at the Phoenix Rescue Mission’s Changing Lives Center.

Father’s Day — As temperatures climb above the century mark, we will organize a bottled water drive for the homeless living on our city streets. The water will be distributed to the homeless through the Phoenix Rescue Mission’s “Hope Coach” program.

Thanksgiving — The Sunday before Thanksgiving we will hold our annual frozen turkey drive. The turkeys will be distributed to the underprivileged in Phoenix along with a message of God’s love by the St Vincent de Paul Society.

Neighborhood Ministries Christmas Store — In late November we have planned a toy drive for the Neighborhood Ministries Christmas Store. This will benefit underprivileged children in Phoenix and send them a message of God’s love and the real meaning of Christmas.

Christmas Food Drive – In December, we will organize our annual Christmas food drive for Kitchen on the Street Ministries (KOS). This food drive helps feed local food-deprived school children during Christmas break.

Along with the above all church drives, we have selected six ministry partners to support and work closely with during the year. In addition to financial donations, we will volunteer to do hands on work activities. Here are the ministry partners we selected to support this year:
