Sparks of Joy in Dark Times
While it is easy to dwell on the darkness in the world, which is increasingly easy to do lately, so many people have experienced God’s blessing in spite of what is going on around us. To make those blessings known and to praise God for them, you are invited and encouraged to share photos of you, your families, and friends of how you experienced joy during the quarantine. What encouraged you in moments of loneliness, despair, or even boredom? Let’s share with others so for the next round we continue to be united in spirit and in prayer. Photos of parishioners will be displayed on the bulletin board in the church narthex. You may bring your own 4 x 6 photos, add it to the provided photo template, write a caption of your family member’s names, and the activity. You may also email Lara Milford (lnmilford@gmail.com) to print your photos and post them for you.
A Call to Prayer and Fasting and Response to the Death and Destruction in our Nation:
~Our Archbishop, Foley Beach, has called Christians in North America to a week of prayer and fasting in response to the violence we are facing in the United States. You can find the announcement at this link: http://anglicanchurch.net/?/main/page/2052.
~Archbishop Foley has also written a piece in response to the killing of George Floyd last week, signed by other ACNA Bishops: http://anglicanchurch.net/?/main/page/2050.
Please remember that you still need to sign up for a time slot to come to church on Sunday or Wednesday. The link is found here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/9040a4cacab28a3ff2-small. We will be continuing with signups for the next several weeks. We suggest you bookmark the page for easy access.
