In our desert city, where the pursuit of more can leave us empty, Jesus invites us to experience fullness. In our barren culture where anxiety, isolation, exhaustion, and superficiality steal and destroy life within, He offers us a living well of a deep purpose, lasting peace for stress, unshakeable joy amid struggles, true rest for exhaustion, and authentic community in loneliness. This abundance transforms our desert city into an oasis of life.
By grace alone, this abundant life isn’t a distant promise—it begins the moment we trust in Jesus. Through His grace, we discover who we are: deeply known, completely loved, and eternally secured. As His life flows into ours, we experience a peace that stands firm in chaos, a joy that runs deeper than circumstances, and a love that transforms us from the inside out.
At CCA, we are driven by the hope that every person will discover this life-giving relationship with Jesus and experience life as He intended it – overflowing with purpose, peace, and joy through a restored relationship with God. That’s why we do what we do: so that you may have life, and have it abundantly.
In short, we believe that
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” John 10:10

Our Story
In 2007, a faithful group of men and women followed a calling to form Christ Church Anglican as part of the worldwide Anglican Communion.
“It is about being committed to doing it God’s way, and not your way. These things only happen through commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ, through sacrifice, and through prayer.” Bishop William A. Thompson, then Dean of the Western Convocation of the Anglican Communion Network. Sermon preached December 2, 2007.
We share commitment to the following:
- Biblical Orthodoxy and Faithfulness: A commitment to the authority of Scripture as the inspired Word of God, guides every aspect of our faith and practice.
- Prayer: Sharing a life rooted in ongoing, personal, and communal prayer, we seek God’s presence, intercede for others, and discern His will for our lives.
- Personal Relationship with God: Cultivating a deep, daily relationship with Jesus Christ, we grow in intimacy with Him through faith, prayer, and scripture.
- Creedal & Historic Faith: We affirm the historic creeds of the Church (Apostles’, Nicene, and Athanasian), which connect us to the foundational truths of the Christian faith passed down through generations; and uphold the 39 Articles as a faithful expression of Anglican doctrine, helping us remain grounded in our theological heritage while engaging with contemporary challenges.
- Liturgical Worship: Our worship follows the rich traditions of the Anglican liturgy, centered on the Eucharist and the rhythm of the church year, as a means of drawing us into the presence of God.
- Sacramental Life: We celebrate the sacraments as means of grace, especially the Eucharist and Baptism, through which we encounter the real presence of Christ. These sacred practices nourish our faith, unite us with God, and strengthen our commitment to live as His people.
- Grace: Affirming that our salvation and transformation come solely through God’s unmerited favor in Christ, we embrace and extend this grace, recognizing that we are all recipients of God’s generous love rather than achievers of religious merit.
- Salvation through Faith: We proclaim that we are justified by faith alone in Christ alone, while affirming that saving faith naturally produces good works. These truths shape both our message of hope and our call to discipleship.
- Mission: We participate in God’s mission to redeem and restore all things through Christ which calls us to both proclaim and demonstrate the Gospel locally and globally.
- Unity: Pursuing the unity of Christ’s body while maintaining theological integrity, we seek to embody Jesus’ prayer that His church would be one, even as we stand firm in essential truths.
