As part of our ongoing partnership with Phoenix Rescue Mission, our church provides Blessing Bags filled with essential items for people experiencing homelessness throughout Phoenix. Each month, our students help assemble the bags, which are then made available for our parishioners to take and distribute.
There are two simple ways you can help.
First, you can give toward the cost of the supplies. Rather than collecting individual items, we purchase the supplies together so that each bag contains what is most useful. Simply write “Blessing Bags” in the memo of your check or electronic donation.
Second, take a Blessing Bag with you. Bags are available in the North Narthex on Sunday mornings. Keep one or two in your car so that when you encounter someone in need, you have something practical and thoughtful to offer.
Blessing Bags give all of us a simple way to care for our neighbors and extend the love of Christ beyond the walls of our church.
