Fr. Chase Campbell | Session A & B | Aug 21 – Nov 20
Ever feel like you’re missing something when it comes to understanding the Bible? Maybe you’ve read the major stories, but there are parts of Scripture that still seem like uncharted territory. Join us for “B Side of the Bible,” where we’ll dive into the lesser-known books of Scripture. Think of these books as the hidden tracks on your favorite album.
Readings from the Early Church
Dcn. Mat | Session A only | Aug 21- Oct 2
C.S. Lewis writes, “There is a strange idea abroad that in every subject the ancient books should be read only by the professionals, and that the amateur should content himself with the modern books.” This “strange idea” is often applied to the literature of the early Church, which is a treasure trove of theological and devotional riches. Join Dcn. Mat this fall for a weekly in-class reading and discussion of a selection from the first four centuries of the Church’s history. All reading will be done in class.
Karalee Romaneski | Session B only | Oct 9 – Nov 20
How many of us long to find our home in God’s power, love and joy; yearn for the abundant life Jesus promised, only to fall short time and again? Are we trying too hard? Is it even possible? In a word, yes. This class will take us on a 31-day journey to discover how God is our true Home, surrender is true freedom. How we can find true rest as we cease striving and Abide in the relentless grace of God in Jesus. Daily 5-10 minute readings from Andrew Murray’s “Abide In Christ” will form the foundation of our weekly discussions.
