Please join us for the visitation of Bishop Onesimus Asiimwe of the North Kigezi Diocese in Uganda. Bishop Assiimwe will be preaching. He will also be teaching Sunday School to the youth, though all are welcome.
Rt. Rev. Onesimus Asiimwe is the Bishop of North Kigezi Diocese in southwestern Uganda. A passionate leader and mentor, he holds a Bachelor of Education (BEd) from Makerere University and a Master of Divinity (MDiv) from Uganda Christian University.
Before his appointment as bishop, he served as the Chaplain of St. Francis Chapel at Makerere University, where he played a vital role in shaping the spiritual lives of students. Prior to that, he was the Provincial Youth and Students Coordinator, where he spearheaded the development of the influential Provincial Annual Youth and Students Convention (PAYSCO)—a program that continues to impact young people across Uganda.
Bishop Onesimus also served as Chaplain to Archbishop Henry Luke Orombi and as the Coordinator of the Provincial Healing, Deliverance, and Intercessory Prayer Ministry, further demonstrating his deep commitment to spiritual growth and transformation.
He is a devoted husband to Florence, and together they are blessed with three children—Daudi, Majorie, and Ruth—as well as one grandchild.
