A New Season
This Sunday, September 11, we begin our new Sunday morning format. Our first worship service begins at 9:00 a.m., at which the music will be led by the organ and choir, with the musical selections drawn from the hymnal.
The second worship service will begin at 11:00 a.m., at which the music will be led by an ensemble of singers accompanied by piano, acoustic guitar, cello, and violin, and will use a combination of historic hymns and modern songs.
Between the services will we have coffee and snacks, classes for youth and children, and a new format for adult education. You can read more about the new format here. I trust that the opportunity to hear from parishioners about their own pursuit of God will, to use the words of the epistle to the Hebrews, “provoke one another to love and good deeds” (Hebrews 10:27).
This Sunday we will also feature our small groups ministry, sharing opportunities to meet together regularly with brothers and sisters in Christ for the purpose of support, encouragement, and fun as we seek to grow more and more into the people that God has made us to be.
Finally, we will also provide an opportunity to register for the upcoming Parish Retreat in Prescott, and will have copies of our retreat speaker Tom Ashbrook’s book, Mansions of the Heart, available for purchase.
Please join us for worship on Sunday, and please do continue in prayer as we seek to become faithful disciples of Jesus, working with God as he renews his beautiful yet broken creation.
Peace,
Chris
