Music Ministry at Christ Church

Over the past three weeks, we have heard wonderful testimonies of the good things God has done through the ministry opportunities we provide at Christ Church Anglican.  Today, we focus on an important factor of Anglican liturgy: music.  Music provides our liturgies with an accessible means to set a mood for the day, invigorate and recharge our weary souls for another week, and gives us the ability to tune our hearts to the Gospel message.  There are many ways we can choose to celebrate our Sundays.  Yet, we continue attending CCA as a sign of our love and fidelity to Christ.  Our secular world provides brief moments of relief if we look for it.  But it is Christ who calls us into sacred liturgy to build something greater than ourselves.  Our song is a core part of that intentionality in our worship.  Your support of our music ministry is key to how we advance in worship.

This past Sunday morning in our bulletin insert, numerous goals are outlined to continue building the music program.  Of the many highlights, we encourage you all to participate in our choral ensembles.  We build community through singing and praying together each week.  The children’s choir is building a strong foundation through their Wednesday afternoon rehearsals and made their long awaited comeback this past Sunday in our Sunday liturgy and Evensong celebration.  The adult chorus is building on fundamentals and exploring new choral literature to enhance our worship experience.

The strength of Christ Church Anglican is watching Christ work through His community.  The financial support of our programs, including the music ministry, assists in crafting how we envision our Sunday liturgies and additional musical programming to draw each of us into a sacred state of worship that is worth celebrating.  Through this craftsmanship, it enables our musical leadership to dream big.  We look forward to providing more collaborative performances with local Phoenix ensembles, establishing a concert series that features the talents of internationally recognized artists, and building our volunteer base to provide more musical experiences for all of our parishioners and guests. We believe that there is no gift too small to consider embracing and recognizing.  For all of you who have already committed to giving back to CCA – we thank you for your continued support. For those who have committed to generous increases in your giving, we are blessed and humbled by your responses to God’s call in your experience here at CCA.  Most importantly, we invite you to continue reflecting with your families this week on how your gifts can be utilized more fruitfully at CCA.  We hope the music this past weekend will help you to dream big with us and see just exactly what those gifts mean for us and our mission at CCA.
