Update on the Chancel Remodel

About a month ago we held our first congregational meeting to introduce the chancel project we have been planning for quite some time. I mentioned that we would be updating you as we made progress on the project, and providing some details on estimated costs for certain specific altar furnishings. To that end, I would like to provide a brief summary of decisions that have been reached regarding the style and cost of our chancel remodel.

 The chancel will feature light-colored wood flooring.

 The new altar furnishings will be stained with a dark wood stain.

 We have received an initial estimate of $15,000 for the cost of new antiphonal pews, kneelers, and modesty rails in the chancel.

 We are continuing to receive estimates for a new altar, pulpit, and lectern.

If you feel joyfully led to contribute towards this portion of the chancel remodel, I would welcome your contributions.

Once again, I will say that this is not an open invitation for personal opinions or pet project requests, but an invitation to give joyfully because you believe this remodel is something that will bless Christ Church Anglican and, in turn, further the advancement of God’s purposes in our community.
